Hello, I have a cut joist that has been sistered one side, (2 x 8). What product can i use to brace other side?
2x8 DNR Deep Notch Floor Joist Notch Repair Kit
Cut is on the bearing end by 13 inches, total span is 64 inches. So the sister is 48 inches long and functionally creates a new bearing end along with the remaining cut/failed portions simply held by xxxx /glue. I was going to sandwich it all with 3/4 plywood and some 3 1/2 inch nails

You would typically use the same product for the sister. So you would install one on the original joist with cut, and one on the sister with cut. If the sister isn't the same size as the joist it is sistering it should be replaced with one that is the same size before you install a Reinforcer on it.
